Raw/Living Foods Lifestyle Workshops:

It starts with a commitment to yourself. We are bombarded with unhealthy choices everywhere. Finding nutritious food is often a daunting task. Learn the benefits of whole, raw/living foods while discovering how to select the healthiest options in the supermarket. If you have a knife, cutting board and a blender, you can start right away to enjoy quick easy healthy alternatives to processed “dead” food.

This series includes three separate hands-on and demo classes that will get you on track for a healthier lifestyle in 2014. Take one, two or all three sessions.

Session 1 – The Basics: Breakfast and Lunch

Starting your day with a whole food breakfast and following that with a nutritious lunch can transform your health. In this class we will focus on breakfast and lunch foods that you can prepare in advance and take with you on the go. Recipes include: Green Smoothie, Flax Seed Porridge, Chia Seed Pudding, Quick and Easy Salad with Avocado Dressing, Hemp Seed Tabouli, and Creamy Kale Salad. All recipes are raw (not heated above 110˚and packed with nutrients and enzymes), vegan (no animal products, except honey on occasion), and gluten-free.

Session 2 – Four-Course Italian Inspired Menu

In this class we will focus on the flavors inspired by Italian cuisine. Learn to prepare a delicious Italian meal including Stuffed Mushrooms, Baby Greens with Italian Vinaigrette Dressing, Zucchini Noodles with Marinara Sauce and Cashew “Ricotta” Cheese, and Amaretto Truffles.

Session 3 – Four-Course Thai Inspired Menu

You will delight in the delicious flavors of this Thai Inspired menu.
Recipes include Thai Coconut Curry Soup, Jicama Salad, Pad Thai (Kelp and Zucchini Noodles with Almond Butter Sauce, Julienned Vegetables and Herbs), and a delicious Key Lime Pie.

Raw Vegan Potluck

Please bring a raw vegan dish to share, and a list of the ingredients (organic, if possible) used. If you’re new to raw, a salad is always a sure bet (no dairy, of course), or you may bring ingredients – organic if possible – and we’ll make something together. Fresh fruit and veggies are always welcome, as are avocados and any kind of raw nuts or seeds. If you feel like experimenting, visit my blog for recipes (http://www.atasteoflight.com/category/recipes/) or just do a search – there are plenty of raw vegan recipes online.

Raw Vegan Dinner Party PLUS

Enjoy a four-course raw vegan dinner PLUS three specials. Start the evening with an informative demo of the preparation of several of the dishes served (PLUS #1). We will then take our seats at the dining room table and enjoy a gourmet raw vegan dinner and lively conversation. Dinner guests receive a packet of recipes (PLUS #2) and a gift (PLUS #3).
